A Hole-in-the-Wall

What is a Vero Beach Power Squadron?

Vero Beach Power Squadron(VBPS) is a non-profit group of volunteers who are socially compatible and have a common love and appreciation for pleasure boating, whether power or sail.

For more detail on VBPS see the December (20) archive posts.....

We are a member of District 8. We are one of the 450+ squadrons of the United States Power Squadron ®.

District 8 is one of the 33 districts in the organization and covers the East Coast of Florida from Sebastian Inlet to Key West.

Objectives of the organization are self education, civic service and social activities.

You do not need to own a boat to be a member.

The VBPS was chartered in 1956.

CAPTAIN'S MEETING FOR SOUTHERN BOAT TRIP

CAPTAIN'S MEETING FOR SOUTHERN BOAT TRIP, TUES.  FEB. 15TH @ 2:30 pm @ VBPS BUILDING:

There will be a captain's meeting for everyone who is interested in taking your boat to the Keys in April.  We wanted to have a destination point for gathering as a group.  Banana Bay in Marathon has set aside dockage for 10 boats for April 16, 17, & 18th at a charge of $2.00/foot if you mention the Vero Beach Power Squadron.  There is a large swimming pool, space to cook out and sheltered areas to gather.  (there is alternate docking at the Marathon Yacht Club for those who are yacht club members.)

PS: Banana Bay also has rooms to rent for those who might want to go by car.  Rooms with 1 king or 2 doubles ranging from $140 to $185/night depending on room location.  For questions about the rooms or dockage, call Kathie Thomas @ 772-978-1701.
